Our Story
Room to Grow Farm isn’t a big operation. It’s a slow, steady return to what matters. It’s about getting your hands in the dirt, growing what you can, and creating something real. From homegrown food and handmade goods to workshops and garden walks, this space is here to connect people back to the land and to each other.
Room to Grow Farm began with a quiet intention: to care for the land and create a space where people could reconnect with nature, creativity, and themselves. What started as a personal project to restore neglected soil has grown into something much more, a place for seasonal living, shared learning, and everyday beauty.
The farm offers fresh, naturally grown products, handmade goods, small-batch preserves, and community-based experiences. Alongside food and flowers, it provides workshops, garden walks, and space to learn or simply pause. Every offering is created with purpose and rooted in a desire to live more intentionally.
Room to Grow Farm was built from a love of old skills, slow mornings, and thoughtful work. It honors tradition while staying open to new ideas and better systems. The work here is meant to restore, not just extract, giving back to the land, the community, and the people who stop by.
This website is an extension of that mission. Visitors can explore available products, sign up for classes, follow along through the blog, and find inspiration for living more connected and creative lives. Whether you're looking to grow something in your backyard or simply find a handmade gift that carries meaning, there's something here for you.
The farm is guided by a clear set of values: stewardship of the earth, creativity in daily life, integrity in how things are grown and made, and a strong belief in community over competition. It is a quiet response to a fast world, offering something steady and sincere.
Room to Grow Farm exists to serve, nourish, and inspire. You're welcome to walk the garden path, join a class, or take home something real. Everything here was made or grown with care—and there's always room for one more person at the table.

Founder of Room to Grow
Michelle Mays is a clinical pharmacist, certified Master Gardener, and lifelong learner with a deep passion for land stewardship, wellness, and intentional living. With years of experience in healthcare and a growing knowledge of regenerative agriculture, Michelle bridges science and soul, approaching the farm as both a place of healing and a platform for change.
Room to Grow Farm began as her personal journey to restore worn-out soil and reconnect with the rhythms of nature. Today, it serves as a living experiment in sustainability, creativity, and community, offering fresh goods, handmade creations, and seasonal classes that nourish the body and spirit alike.
Michelle’s approach blends evidence-based practices with traditional wisdom and joyful curiosity. She believes that everyone deserves the space (and support) to grow something meaningful.
